JDS was established in 1990 and in Boleráz 5 years later. Its founder and first chairman was Mr. Palkovic . After his death, unity disappeared. No written documents have been preserved from this period. The resumption of activities took place on March 21, 2007 at the inaugural meeting. Mrs. Rozália Klimová became the chairwoman . The association worked very actively for several years. After 2015, the activity stopped and threatened to disappear again. Some active members began to appeal to the people to take the lead in the association so that it would not disappear again.
ZO JDS is currently working very actively. It strives to provide cultural, sports and social activities for its members. Furthermore, trips are organized at home and abroad, members are very active in cooperation with the municipal office. They organize brigades to beautify the village. This year, for the first time, an Advent wreath was woven, which was consecrated on the first Sunday of Advent. A great success is the establishment of a senior choir under the direction of Mr. Fandela . We believe that ZO JDS will continue to work actively and make life more pleasant for our seniors.
